If you enjoy reading the comics, but hate waiting until you get your paper, try http://www.comics.com. Select the comics you enjoy reading and they'll send them to you every day for free. (I start my day with Dilbert.) This is also a great site to keep up with comics that your local newspaper may have dropped.

I'm amazed at the number of web sites on the Internet available for students to use. They seem to find sites that adults overlook. Here are a few that might help with homework and writing assignments:

http://www.About.com    Links to a homework center aimed at older students.

http://www.allwords.com    Type in part of a word and get back links to words beginning with those letters.
